Lorne has acted as counsel in numerous tough, high-profile trials. He brings to each case a wealth of experience and an unmatched tenacity in and out of the courtroom.
Lorne has conducted hundreds of jury and non-jury trials, and currently restricts his practice to lengthy, complex criminal and quasi-criminal litigation. Lorne is a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law, and a founding member of the firm (formerly Webber Schroeder Goldstein Abergel).
Lorne is an adjunct professor at the University of Ottawa law school, where he has taught Trial Advocacy and The Law of Homicide. He has testified before the House of Commons and the Senate, instructed students for the bar admission course, and helped design the examinations required for admission to the legal profession.
Lorne is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law and was called to the bar of Ontario and the bar of the State of New York in 1998.
