Resourceful and determined, Jolene leaves no stone unturned in her efforts to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.
Jolene represents trial and appeal clients charged with all manner of criminal offences. She holds a B. Soc. Sci (Honours) from the University of Ottawa and a M.A. from Georgetown University. She returned to the University of Ottawa to obtain her law degree and she graduated in the top 5% of her class. Jolene also received numerous awards for her written and oral advocacy as a member of the Faculty’s competitive moot teams, including the Thomas Walde Best Advocate Award for her performance at the 2017 Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration moot competition.
She began her legal career as an articling student with Addario Law Group LLP in Toronto. After being called to the bar in 2019, Jolene went on to clerk at the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada before joining Abergel Goldstein & Partners LLP.
Jolene is also a Part-Time Professor at the University of Ottawa. She teaches Public and Constitutional Law and coaches the Faculty’s Phillip C. Jessup Public International Law and Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration moot teams.
